A busy week for the Miss GEICO Racing​ Crew as their boats prepare for a double header with their crew spliting up to head out to two different boat shows continuing their preseason tour as they hit up boat shows across North America. Although it does not look much like summer in Minnesota, boaters and outdoors men alike are heading out to check out the latest boats, rv and everything else you could need for some fun during the warm months and the Miss Geico boat has arrived to join in action. The other half of the crew will be on hand in some nicer weather this weekend as they will be join up with their friends from OCC Paul Sr. and gang as they showcase their creations along side the Miss Geico boat. For those of you in either areas be sure to head out, check out the boats and show the team you support as they work hard to promote the upcoming 2015 Super Boat International Season which they are also the presenting sponsor of this season. (Photo courtesy of the Vector Martini Racing Media Crew) Since the debut of the new Vector Martini Racing Team on the international race circuit last year with their Ilmor powered 40R Vector overseas for their first public run in Monaco after its long haul from Vectors facility in Canada, the team has certainly pushed hard to make a name for themselves. The launch of the team came with much attention as it brought the return of the Martini Brand back to the offshore race scene for the first time in over 25 years since the days of Ceare Fiorio, now with Malcolm Crease of the UK heading the team who is determined to continue the legacy. However after a disappointing start to the year for the team and many other international teams with the last minute cancellation of the the 2014 Venture Cup the team was forced to wait until they could go to battle but made good use the time in Monaco with a special Vip Ride alongs and demonstrations. After a few months the team got its chance to showcase just what their boat was capable off by taking home the top spot of the 2014 Cowes Classic…
Last month at the 2015 Miami International Boat Show the Cigarette Racing Team continued their tradition of debuting a new stunning piece of hardware at the show with the release of their latest creation. This year featured another special AMG collaboration which included the 50’ Marauder GT S powered by twin Mercury Racing 1550’s alongside the new 2016 Mercedes/AMG GT S special edition car. Since then the team has been busy getting the boat dialed in and now you can now see it in action for the first time as it takes to the water for some recent testing in this new video from our friends at Cigarette Racing feature below:
