The 2015 Super Boat International Worlds came to end this past week and as anticipated as always the week was filled with fun and action from the racing to parties and activites going on throughout the area. Teams and fans from all over North America and from around the world made the trip to picture perfect Keys again this year bigger and better than ever. With Seven titles on the line and full line up of boats the races were again held in over 3 seperate days with 4 races per day allowing all the classes to get on the water once per day over the weeks course including a day of testing prior to each race day. Although tough on both the pilots and boats this setup gives teams enough time to make last minute adjustments and repairs through out leading up to the final day of racing which is a double point system to make things interesting. (Photos courtesy of the Official FPC Media Crew) The fun has also has began in Key West for poker runners going out with the Florida Power Boat Club for their annual Offshore Poker Run which features some of the sleekest and mot recognized high performance boats from all over the United States and Canada as over 170 boats are registered. This run has become the most well known year end poker run in North America as boaters get one final to chance to have some fun in the sun before many have to put their boats away for the winter months. Despite the raft up party being under heavy watch as local ministry officials put a band on pulling up on the beach for the stop due to wild life concerns, the run will still being going as scheduled with slight adjustment made to certain areas of the run during the weeks activities. This years event is again set over a week in the beautiful Keys of Florida which has become home to the SBI Worlds for many years. The event draws in tens of thousands of fans who come out to watch the best in offshore racing from across North America and even around the globe as far as Australia with Maritimo Racing bringing their boat over seas for the week of racing.
