(Photo credit: Seebold Sports) Laporte locals got to witness the official opening of the USF1 Tour this past weekend which also marked the start of legendary race Tim Seebolds final season of racing after several decades of being one of the top competitors the sports has ever seen. This season will be sure to be exciting as were sure he will look to finish it off in his traditional fashion by putting up some big weekends which he did holding off top racers Terry Rink and Chris Fairchild who followed close behind as he took the win. Next event will be Bay City however many of the racers will be heading for some racing in the Formula 2 league at the inaugural Nashville event in a few short weeks which will be on hand covering the special event sp keep posted for many shots and updates to come from Music City. (Photo courtesy of Cat Can Do Racing) The Lake of the Ozarks saw over 3 dozen offshore race boats on hand again for this years Lake Race including 3 extreme boats as the CMS Team was on hand with their #3 and #03 boat to battle it out with Cat Can Do Racing for the event which has become both a fan and team favourite stop which was the second event of the season for the OPA organization. Thousands of spectator took to the water and land to catch some of the top teams in offshore racing go at it on the perfect waters of Lake Ozarks. The Formula 2 Powerboat league is heading to Nashville for the first time ever and this event is set to be a big one with the tightest course seen on the circuit in the downtown core as racers will go for the biggest pot so far of the season as well.
