The 2014 Toronto International Boat Show ended today after a week long of boating activities and seminars in the Toronto Convention center which again include the worlds largest indoor lake for Wake Board Comps and demos. This years show featured a strong turn out from the recreational manufactures and wake board builders all showcasing some great new products. Although numbers were down for the performance boats on hand this year, Mercury Marine brought out Tammy wolfs Pink F2 Mercury boat which took front and center as the company celebrated for their 75 Anniversary. Along with the Mercury F2 boat the team also brought out the 1650 for its first appearance at the Toronto Boat Show as the motor did no debut until the Miami show last year which was 4 weeks after Toronto.

The Toronto Outboard Racing Club (TORC) was also out to showcase some of their organizations boats including a Thunder Cat Inflatable race boat an Outboard Hydro and drag boat. The clubs booth got a strong response yet again this year as they promoted their upcoming 2014 season which is expected to be another great one as the organizations continues to gain more and more supporters and racers each year. We will sure to keep you posted on their 2014 schedule.

As we recently reviewed this week Tuff’s latest 21’ V-hull powered by the 570 Ilmor showcased for the first time accompanied by their even small 16’ outboard model which was on hand to showcase for some of the younger generations out there looking to get into their first high performance V-hull. This little and quick V-hull is perfect for young teens as well as adults providing boaters with a quick and reliable little boat perfect for any cottage goer looking to help their need for speed with out braking the bank. Although Double R Performance alongside the Performance Boat Club of Canada did not have one of their usual big poker run boats on hand, we were still able to catch up their head of sales Peter Roberts who informed us of lots of exciting news they had going on behind the scenes as some big new boat are in the works but more on that story to come soon.

All in all this years boat show was great one with yet again another strong turn out from boater across North America with over an amazing 400+ boats sold at the show over the week. Only 3 weeks now remain until the 2014 Miami International Boat which is sure to feature a ton of North Americas top high performance boat builders along side hundreds of recreational builders in whats set to be the worlds #1 BoatShow this season. Stay tuned for highlights and more.
