The Last week of April brought high performance boats from all over the west coast and from across North America to Lake Havasu for 5 days of whats known to be one of the biggest boating party weeks in the country which sees thousands of boaters take to the lake and channel for some fun in the sun and well the big boys compete in the Desert Storm Shootout to be named the fastest in the west. This extremely fun weekend brings in some of the biggest and fastest boats from North America to show off their rides both on land with the street party and on the water with the shootout and activities taking place all over the lake. For those of who have not attended this event in the past should be sure to plan a trip out next season with the perfect combination of boats from all the top manufactures including Outerlimits, MTI, Skater, DCB, and many others along with perfect weather and a complete party atmosphere makes this event a truly fun experience.

After the wind died down and the sun was out crews paraded out to battle head to head to be named the Desert Storm King and after some impressive numbers from a lot of fast boats this years winner was named as Gary Smith took it home with an impressive run of 170 MPH in his 40' Skater known to most as predator. For those of you who couldn't make it check out some of the boats on hand as they paraded out for the shootout courtesy of ours friends at the Bridge Water Channel.
