(Photo from Westchester County Police on Scene) A Nor-tech and its owner are making the mainstream news this week for its recent involvement with cops on Sunday which reportedly led to a supposed chase as the boat reached speeds of 100 mph on the Hudson River near the Tappan Zee Bridge, as released by the Westchester County police. The report is one of the police boats first tried to stop Marcus Lomghitano of Orange County for going more than 5 miles per hour in the regulated speed zone. Lomghitano instead began speeding south, the chase eventually included a second Westchester County police boat that intercepted the cat as it arrived minutes later in Yonkers. Lomghitano was arrested on charges of reckless operation, failure to obey a police officer and operating an unregistered vessel. Lomghitano however was released pending a scheduled appearance later this month.
