Mercury Racing unveils 400R Verado Outboard at Miami Boat Show

The Miami International boat show is recognized as the worlds largest boat show showcasing everything from new boats and engines to the latest hi tech gadgets on the market and this year was no exception. As most performance boaters know this show draws more manufactures from our side of the industry than any other boat show in North America. It is only here where you will find Cigarette, MTI, Nor-Tech, and Mystic to name a few all on hand unveiling brand new boats and models  truly bringing the best of the best from the performance boating world together for one weekend every February. But in traditional fashion one company stood out and created a hype like no other as Mercury Racing seemed to yet again be the talk of the show.

As the gates opened for this years shows the Mercury Marine booth was already becoming swarmed as rumores had been circulating on what the team had been working on behind the scenes since last year and we were not disappointed as they dropped the cloth on their brand new Mercury Racing 400R Verado Outboard which be their most powerful outboard to date on the market. Along with the release of the monster outboard they also showcase a new and highly advanced 1550 that could be detuned to a 1350 with the simple switch of a key allowing users an easy option to run pump gas when race fuel is unavailable. Within hours of the motors being unveiled several manufactures including Mystic and Daves Custom Boats showcased their new boats rigged with the new 400R’s although we haven't heard any reports back on what speeds and numbers these boats are showing we will be sure to keep you posted in a future review of these motors.

Keep posted for more from the 2015 Miami Boat Show on all the exciting boats unvieled as well via our official BoatStars Facebook Page.
