Despite the struggles that envy Offshore Racing have gone through this past year preparing their gorgeous brand new Unlimited Class Mystic for the 2014 race season the crew have continued to push forward  to get out for testing this past weekend on Lake Lanier for its first time and after a recent conversation with Chris Cox owner of the team he informed us that testing had gone amazing and they had seen numbers well over 150 Mph without even breaking 6000 Rpm on the 1500+ Hp Stotler power plants and that he will be keeping the boat after much consideration after his recent announcement that boat was for sale and continue to run and race the boat as originally planned. This was huge news but after a recent inspection of the engines and drives following their testing this weekend the crew discovered some more bad news as the port side BPM drive had been severely damaged requiring a new one in order for the team to be able to complete testing in order to compete at next months 2014 SuperBoat International World Championship.

After making the call for the new drive the team was informed that the part would take 2-4 weeks to get to the team making it next to impossible for them to get out for the desired testing and preparations required for the upcoming Super Boat Worlds but with the true spirit of racing always on their minds fellow competitors of Miss Geico Offshore Racing stepped up to generously provided loaner gears for drive in order for them to compete. This is again more great news for Envy Offshore Racing and hope that further testing goes well so that we can see Miss Geico and Envy Offshore go head to head at this years 2014 Super Boat International World Championships in Key West. Stay tune for more updates and more coverage to come as we prepare for one of the most anticipated events of the of year.
