The F1H2O World Championship has made the tough announcement that the upcoming season opener, the Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah has been postponed due to concerns surrounding coronavirus global outbreak that is affecting all areas of the world right now. The promoter H2O Racing stated in the press release
“The decision has been taken in agreement with the Local Organizers and the Official Authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure protection of all the participants.
Health and safety of the local community, participants and staff has always been of paramount importance and come at the top of all priorities.”

A new date has not been set at this time but we will be updating you when more is available. This is so far the first event in power boat racing that has been affected but it is not a surprise as many other events all over the globe are taking steps to help stop the risk of spreading the virus.
