The official word is in on another one of the P1/OPA Series stops, as the organizers of 36th Annual Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix have announced the postponement of the event which was scheduled for June 26-28.
Although Florida is seeing some lifts in the lockdown measures which will be taking place slowly, the Sarasota Power Boat Grand Prix position at this time is based on the CDC as well as government guidelines. The Organization will be looking into attempting the host the event later in the year once they are allowed to do so safely without any concerns.
There is still some hope for the Lake Race in the Ozarks to take place in what would now be the season opener after moving up from stop number two which is still currently scheduled for the end of May. Officials are said to be getting together in the next week to come to an official statement.
