Travis Pastrana Named Driver Of The Miss Geico Offshore Race Team

Miss Geico is making moves heading into the 2020 APBA Offshore Championships season by surprising fans with a switch up to their team. The team was excited to announce this week that extreme motorsports enthusiast Travis Pastrana has be named as their new driver joining Sir Steve Curtis in the cockpit of their Class One boat.

Travis Pastrana is known most people know for his impressive driving skills on basically anything with wheels or with motor through his Nitro Circus brand over the years. He got first taste of offshore racing last season in Cocoa Beach and it appears he got the itch. Although being a slight step up from the boats he ran as a special appearance with his childhood friend Brett Lilly at the Season opener in 2019 Travis has proven himself time after time to be capable of adjusting to any machine he gets behind the wheel of. With World Champion Steve Curtis on the throttles and mentoring Travis it won’t be long until these two racers are dialed in with each other and the boat, so expect a fast transition.

Travis does however compete in other motorsports during the year including rally car racing so the team has come up with a back up plan having Brit Lilly of Lilly Sport Boats take the wheel if an event corresponds with another one of Travis’ events he obligated to attend. This will be a big learning curve for Travis but one that will help him as well as sport as he helps bring boat racing to dirt bike racing and extreme motorsports fans that may not had the opportunity to be exposed to power boat racing.
